This project consisted of transforming the former MLK General hospital into a state-of-the-art, 505,000 square feet Martin Luther King, Jr. Behavioral Health Center (MLK BHC). The MLK BHC provides a continuum of care with integrated residential, outpatient, and wrap around supportive services for some of Los Angeles County’s most vulnerable populations, including those struggling with mental illness, substance use disorders and homelessness, many of whom have been involved in the criminal justice system.
